Stainless steel electric gear pumps are fully assembled gear pump units that include a motor, coupling, and pump housing. They are used when a ready-to-operate unit is required and cast materials are not suitable due to the nature of the fluid or material requirements.

Depending on the medium and lubricity, either stainless steel gears or PEEK gears are used. The E/FLM series is designed for media with sufficient minimum lubrication. The E/FLM-PEEK series is tested for media with little to no lubrication, often aqueous or chemically aggressive media.

E/FLM-PEEK or E/FLM – which version is right for you?

E/FLM-PEEK Series

For media with little to no lubrication.
The E/FLM-PEEK series combines a stainless steel housing with PEEK gears. It is recommended for applications involving the conveyance of aqueous, corrosive, or low-lubricity media.

E/FLM series

For corrosive media with adequate lubrication.
The E/FLM series is a stainless steel electric gear pump with stainless steel gears. It is suitable when a ready-to-use motor pump is required and the fluid provides sufficient minimum lubrication.

The final selection always depends on the medium, viscosity, temperature, pressure, seal, and operating conditions.

A stainless steel electric gear pump is a good choice when a ready-to-use gear pump with a motor is required and cast materials are not suitable due to corrosion, aqueous media, or chemical requirements.

What is the difference between E/FLM and E/FLM-PEEK?

The E/FLM series features stainless steel gears and requires adequate lubrication from the fluid. The E/FLM-PEEK series features PEEK gears and is tested for use with fluids that provide little to no lubrication.

Are these stainless steel gear pumps also available without a motor?

Yes. If you need a pump head with an exposed shaft end, the stainless steel gear flange pumps in the E/F and E/F-PEEK series are the right choice.

Is a stainless steel electric gear pump suitable for water?

For water or aqueous media, a design with PEEK gears is often considered, as such media typically provide little or no lubrication. The decisive factors are the composition of the medium, temperature, pressure, viscosity, and operating conditions.

Can the flow rate be adjusted?

Yes. Depending on the model, electric gear pumps can be equipped with a variable-frequency drive. This allows the speed—and thus the flow rate—to be adjusted to the process. The product pages list optional integrated variable-frequency drives for variable-speed pumping.
