What is the difference between a submersible pump and a submersible pump?

Submersible pumps are installed directly in open liquid tanks, usually at a defined distance of 4–5 cm above the tank bottom.
The decisive factors are immersion depth, free cross-section under the suction nozzle, and sufficient liquid level during operation.
In practice, the tank height, minimum fill level, and available immersion depths of the pump must match each other so that no air is sucked in and the pump operates safely and continuously.
Which electrical connection variants (230 V / 400 V) are common?
Coolant pumps and immersion pumps for machine tools are mainly available as three-phase versions with 400 V.
However, many manufacturers also offer variants designed for 230 V or optionally 230/400 V, especially in the lower power range.
