LZ80 and LZ120 series - Slow-running gear pumps

The slow-running gear pumps of the LZ/LZ-GM series are designed for highly viscous, lubricating media. They are driven by a gear motor with maximum rated speeds of up to 500 rpm. This allows viscous fluids such as bitumen or molasses to be pumped at pressures of up to 6 bar and media temperatures of –40 to +200 °C.

  • Delivery rate:

    42 / 128 l/min

  • Print area

    up to 6 bar

  • Viscosity:

    80 / 10.000 mm²/s

Properties

  • Design: External gear pump, volumetric, almost pulsation-free.
  • Materials (standard LZ):
    - Housing GG25, gears/shafts case-hardened steel (ground)
  • Sealing: Stuffing box with graphite rings (standard).
  • Operating behavior at high viscosity: Low speeds reduce shearing, heating and cavitation tendency; good suitability for viscous fluids.

Wide range of applications

Bitumen/asphalt products (heated, viscous; transfer/transfer).
Molasses, syrups (food/feed sector, without solids).
Lubricating and heavy oils, heating oils (transfer/recirculation).
Resins/waxes (preheatable, lubricating media - if compatible with the material).

Shaft seals

  • Mechanical seal
  • Stuffing box graphite packing

Conveying media

  • Bitumen/bitumen
  • Molasses
  • Heavy duty/gear/hydraulic oils
  • Paraffin/wax melting
  • viscous adhesives/bonding agents
